ICCIMA'99 CALL FOR PAPERS ICCIMA'99 3rd International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Multimedia Applications 23-26 September 1999, New Delhi, INDIA URL: http://eassun.eas.gu.edu.au/iccima99.html The 3rd International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Multimedia Applications will be held in Delhi on 23-26 September 1999. The goals of the conference are to promote interaction and cross-fertilisation among different approaches to Computational Intelligence such as artificial intelligence, neural networks, genetic algorithms, fuzzy logic, etc. and Multimedia Technology such as multimedia information retrieval, image indexing and retrieval, virtual reality, video conferencing, etc. The conference will provide an international forum for discussion on issues in the areas of Computational Intelligence and Multimedia for scientists, engineers, researchers and practitioners. The conference will include sessions on theory, implementation and applications, as well as the non- technical areas of challenges in education and technology transfer to industry. There will be both oral and poster sessions. Papers must be in English and the length of each manuscript should be limited to 5 pages, A4 size, 2 cm margins each side, 10 points, single spaced. E-mail submissions are encouraged. Proposals for workshops/tutorials are solicited from prospective organisers/presenters. Please send a proposal including title, abstract (maximum 200 words), duration, etc., and a short biography of organiser/presenter to ICCIMA'99 Secretariat as soon as possible. Special Sessions Special sessions on various focused topics will be organised at ICCIMA'99. If you are interested in organising a special session please send a proposal including an outline of a topic, number of papers, etc. to ICCIMA'99 Secretariat as soon as possible. All papers related to your session will be sent to you after due date for submission. You will be responsible for selecting the papers based on three independent reviews and chairing special session at ICCIMA'99. Publication of Papers All accepted papers will be included in the proceedings published by IEEE Press/World Scientific Publishing Company. Best Paper Award A best student paper and a best conference paper award will be given at the conference.
