JFPLC-98 27--29th May 1998 Organised by École des Mines de Nantes and Irisa The seventh "Journées Francophones de Programmation Logique et par Contraintes" (French-speaking Seminar on Logic Programming and Constraint Programming; JFPLC-98) will take place in Nantes (west of France). It will be organized by "École des Mines de Nantes" and by IRISA. JFPLC-98 presents recent academic or industrial works in the domain, and it will feature an industry-day on the theme of logistics. The themes covered by JFPLC-98 are logic programming and constraint programming in a broad sense, including Inductive Logic Programming and Deductive Data-Bases. Theoretical and applied contributions are expected on a par. The latter can be presented as demos. The submissions must be about 15 pages long. Electronic submissions in Postscript are encouraged. Accepted articles will be published by Hermès, a French scientific publisher. Authors of accepted articles will have to conform themselves to this publisher style directives in a camera-ready version of their articles. Albeit being a french-speaking seminar, JFPLC-98 welcomes English-written submissions and talks can be given in English.
