CALL FOR PAPERS TEXT RETRIEVAL TECHNIQUES IN WEB ENVIRONMENTS Invited session in SCI'99/ISAS'99 Although Text Retrieval is a well known topic and has been studied extensively, the World Wide Web provides many new needs and possibilities for this field of research. We would like to offer the researchers the possibility to create a forum to discuss how to query documental or textual databases through the Web (or the Web itself) using Text Retrieval techniques in order to provide easy-to-use and accurate interfaces to retrieve documents. This invited session will take place as part of the 3rd World Multiconference on SYSTEMICS, CYBERNETICS AND INFORMATICS (SCI'99) and The 5th International Conference on INFORMATION SYSTEMS, ANALYSIS AND SYNTHESIS (ISAS'99) to be held in Orlando Florida, USA, from July 31 to August 4, 1999. Details about registration, emplacement, activities, etc., can be found at http://www.iiis.org/isas, but questions about this invited session should be asked by sending an email to: trwe@rosalia.dc.fi.udc.es If this is your field of research, we encourage you to send a paper draft (max 5000 words, in English) before May 3, 1999. The draft papers should be sent, in Postscript format, to the e-mail address trwe@rosalia.dc.fi.udc.es The paper drafts will be evaluated by at least three referees, and the selected papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
